Learning Ladder’s Summer Adventure Camp is a state licensed child care, serving youth who have completed Kindergarten through fifth grade. Summer Camp is a fun filled full day enrichment program that blends learning and fun to create a summer of great memories.

Field Trips (included in your weekly tuition): BusWeekly field are a big part of our summer program. Past field trips have included; the Monona Pool, Henry Vilas Zoo, Movie Theatre, Cottage Grove, Monona and Deerfield Dream Parks, Crawdaddy Cove Indoor Waterpark (Holiday Inn West), Sun Prairie Aquatic Center, Dane County Fair, Bowling and more. Families will receive a monthly calendar listing all the scheduled trips. In addition to field trips, each classroom will take a weekly trip (after summer school concludes) to the library to check out books for our reading program.

Wisconsin Excursions: Once a month we will venture a little further from home to explore the great state of Wisconsin. In the past we have visited the Milwaukee Museum, Wisconsin Dells waterparks, Brewer games and Cave of the Mounds.

Summer School (Taylor Prairie, Cottage Grove School & Glacial Drumlin): The Monona Grove School District will provide transportation from Learning Ladder to summer school and back. Be sure to sign up for transportation when registering your child for classes. If your child is enrolled in summer school, don't worry about missing field trips. We schedule most activities around the summer school schedule so your child won't miss out.

Reading Program: Each classroom will participate in a reading program. Students will partake in independent and group reading activities. Teachers will set class and individual goals based on each child’s reading level and abilities.

Lunch/Snack: Breakfast, Lunch and Snacks will be provided for all children. A healthy brown bag lunch is required on select field trip days.

Curriculum: Weekly themes such as; Space and Planets, Under the Sea, Gardening, and Sports to name a few, will direct each week’s activities. The curriculum also allows room for the children’s interests to lead the way.
